Minimal-Electronik Plus is Veronica’s show on East Village Radio. The show is entirely dedicated to 80’s minimal synth, synth wave etc. Very much like Rundfunkmuziek on CBS.
The stuff that gets played on Minimal-Electronik Plus is either from the 80’s or from after 2000. It’s as if a decade of horrible 90’s music never happened.

Another label special mix ! This time the featured label is Minimal Rome. Dark Italian electro with Count Dracula himself as a special guest:
- Minimal Rome – Bloody Night mixed (via minimalrome.com)
More info here. Thanks to MinimalRome (label’s boss) !
Bonus mix: On a lighter note… Yet another fresh mix from X-bobo:
- X-bobo – Fresh Mixxx (via konerec.net)
There so much stuff happening around the CBS these days, it’s almost hard to follow ! But I’m grateful, I’m grateful… It’s a good time to be a robot.
Since so much of the web is noise rather than signal I usually try to post as much content as possible (mixes, available music etc.) and as little useless crapola as possible.
But this is time it’s a new release roundup post, which means no downloads (or only low quality samples). Why can’t everything be about instant gratification ?
There’s a new label out there called Radio Cosmos, their first release (Radio Cosmos RC01) is a compilation featuring no less than Makina Girgir (aratkiLo !), Keen K & Dorian E and Lasertanz. It’s titled “Synthesize Me“.
Plus the artwork looks like this:

Next up, Dutch facial pilosity pride with Moustache records. Again this is a relatively new label, they started operation in 2007 as far as I know. The man behind the label is Rotterdam’s David Vunk. They got *three* upcoming releases:
- Sneak Thief/Polygamy boys – Parallel Percepts E.P. (moustache rec 003)
- Mark du Mosch – Strength E.P. (moustache rec 004)
- Flemming Dalum – Edits (moustache rec Gold005 2×12”)
Samples here.
My homies from Yverdoom, Reverse Engineering have a new ep out (their best yet ?):
- Reverse Engineering Feat. Blu Rum 13 – DTTR (Don’t Try To Run)

Samples here
The newest release from Smackos’ label Strange Life Records is:
Heinrich Dressel – Mons Testaceum

Samples here
And finally Danny Wolfers and Brian Chinetti are doing a split ep like it’s 2002 all over again:
Legowelt & Orgue Electronique – Dx Days / On A String (Clone X26)
Samples here
Also I think I inadvertently found Smackos favorite web site : Swiss Bat Center
dj Deutschmark did a special non-stop mix featuring music from the german electro/synth/wave label Kernkrach (and its sublabel Hertz-Schrittmacher):
- deutschmark – es kracht im gebälk (via deutschmark.headphones.ru)
I enjoy mixes and shows dedicated to labels, it’s a great way to get familiar with their sound and style.
And since it’s Saturday, and there is no such thing as too much italo:
- Echolot – Give Me A Lot Of Music! (via www.discobots.net)
As usual, I scooped both these mixes from the CBS forum. So, thanks to fellow robots Deutschmark and Echolot for the music.
A coldwar sythpop mix from aratkiLo:
- aratkiLo – “ge mig ett svar miX” (via welt-am-draht.de)
The eponym track “ge mig ett svar” (which I can only suppose is Swedish for “give me your ?”) is pretty great.
